As you know, ( or you should if you didn't sleep last session ), we hva been focusing on essays. It's time for one. Watch the following video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9nq886mOjAand then work on the following topic:
" Does publicity have to be more moral than it already is?"

Just for help, watch the following videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO-IjmZae2I&feature=fvst

A dialogue with no words.( 1st ESOers )

Have you ever tried to speak without using words? Here it is! My proposal is

  • Watch this video and pay attention to the signs

  • write a dialogue using only signs ( in class we will perform it in pairs, great fun! )

Waiter, there's a dead fly in my soup!
Yes, sir, it's the hot water that kills them.

Waiter, what's this in my soup?
I'm not sure, sir, I can't tell one bug from another

YouTube - Akeelah and the Bee Official Movie Trailer

A young girl learns to believe in herself and value her intelligence in this critically-acclaimed, family-friendly drama. Akeelah Anderson (Keke Palmer) is an 11-year-old being raised by her mother, Tanya (Angela Bassett), who was left on her own after the death of her husband. While Akeelah is a very bright girl, she's hardly a star student and seems afraid of acting like a bookworm around her friends and classmates. However, Akeelah's teacher sees genuine potential in her student and encourages her to enter the school's spelling bee, convinced Akeelah has the brains and the talent to win.

Getting Ready for Spelling Bee!!!

welcome

As everybody knows, Spelling Bee is coming soon!!!

Spelling Bee is an American contest consisting of spelling words in several rounds and it will take place the first week of June in Washington DC. If you are interested in taking part in OUR special Bee the 23rd of April, you can find her a couple of interesting hints in order to practise and be OUR first WINNER of OUR FIRST Spelling Bee at school!!!

  • Watch the following video and learn how to play Spelling Bee by following the experience of an eleven-year-old girl in the States. ( recommendation: seeing the film is really interesting, exciting and amusing )
